Closeness to Jesus

 Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law, the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand. You shall consecrate them so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.”

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. We have a sphere of influence. In our interactions are we pointing those around us to Jesus and in our own lives, through the good and bad do we trust that if I just get close enough to Jesus, He will make me well?

 Good morning y’all! If you have an opportunity today I would encourage you to read 1 Samuel 26. In it Saul is pursuing David and David has an opportunity to kill Saul and does not take it. The two have a verbal exchange (from a distance) and in it David repeatedly refers to Saul as “my lord the king” and he refers to himself as “your (Saul’s) servant.” This blew my mind. How often I feel justified in repaying wrong for wrong. While it may not be at the point of a sword, let us be representatives of Christ in both word and deed. Lastly, David did this “from a distance.” We do not have to return to a place we are wronged, but we are called to show respect and forgiveness.
